Hi, I'm Emma! I'm a senior content writer at CoStar Group, where I primarily focus on creating engaging and optimized content for Apartments.com, the leading online apartment listing platform. Since stepping into this role, I have honed my skills in SEO, content strategy, and digital marketing to help drive organic traffic, enhance brand authority, and boost visibility across multiple channels.

In my current position, I collaborate with cross-functional teams to produce high-quality web copy and long-form blog content that resonate with a diverse audience. My work at CoStar Group has allowed me to contribute to one of the largest real estate marketplaces, where I help renters find their perfect homes and landlords optimize their listings while maximizing brand reach and search engine performance.

I grew up in the beautiful city of Columbia, SC, and discovered my passion for writing as the editor-in-chief of my high school’s yearbook team. This passion led me to pursue journalism at the University of Georgia, where I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism, a minor in fashion merchandising, and a certificate in new media. During my time at UGA, I gained invaluable experience working on the editorial team at The Red & Black Publishing Co., interning at Modern Luxury Media, and reporting as an on-air, multimedia journalist for Grady Newsource.

Before joining CoStar Group, I spent two years working as a content writer at Bearpaw Partners, a digital marketing agency in Atlanta, GA. There, I worked with a variety of clients across multiple industries, from real estate to law, honing my skills in SEO, brand storytelling, and content strategy. This experience laid my foundation for developing impactful content that drives results.
